2014 Production Book iPhone and iPad apps with NZ listings launched

Hailed as the largest, most comprehensive resource of contacts for the Australian film, television, new media and advertising industries, the Production Book is pleased to announce the release of its 2014 iPhone and iPad applications.

The only apps available as a directory for film and television production in the Pacific Region, they are both free to upload and comprise over 16,000 listings across 245 categories.

This year both apps have undergone significant improvement to best address the needs of an ever-growing and evolving industry in Australasia.

New features include:

– A dedicated New Zealand section

– Digital Media and Grip Cranes charts have been added to the charts for pre-existing sunrise/sunset times, phases and apsides of the moon, tides and international clothing measurements, amongst others

– Personal notes against listings can now be saved to the iCloud so they are not lost when the app is updated

– The app will be updated every three months so the listings are the most current in the industry

– Actors and their agents have been added as a category.

“We’re pleased to announce that, last year, 37% of the downloads for the apps came from overseas, and of that, 22% from the US, showing that The Production Book is assisting with putting the Australian screen services industry on the map.” says The Production Book Joint Managing Director Robert Kennett.

“We’re also extremely proud to be able to provide such a comprehensive and established service to the film and television industry, and to be able to do so across a variety of platforms is an industry first.

“We’re very excited to showcase the newest features added to the apps, which we believe add a huge amount of value to what was already a fantastic product."”
