Emerging filmmakers pitch their work to industry players at SAE showcase

Emerging filmmakers, animators, audio engineers, gamers and designers will pitch their work to industry players at SAE's Creative Media Institute showcase in Sydney on February 1.

Short films, animations, games, music albums and design collateral will be on show at the event, which is open to the public from 3-5pm.

SAE Sydney Campus Manager Radovan Klusacek said the graduate showcase demonstrated a commitment to connect students with future employers and mentors.

“Our graduates are the future of the creative industries and it’s our job to ensure they are supported to achieve their goals long after graduating from SAE,” he said. “These graduates have produced work that is industry-standard and needs to be shared.”

As well as pitching their projects to industry, the students will present to peers, family and friends at the event.

“This is a great way for us to inspire and motivate new students, and gives our graduates a unique opportunity to share their successes with family and friends in real-world environments,” Klusacek said.

“The showcase serves as a meaningful transition from student life to professional life.”

The SAE Sydney Graduate Showcase will be held at the Sydney campus, Level 1, 11 York Street. Register to attend at www.sae.edu.au/events.
