The Australian Directors Guild (ADG) has announced that Earlybird Entries are open for the 2015 ADG Awards
The award will be held in May. Earlybird deadline for entry in the Awards is Thursday December 18; regular entry deadline is February 16, 2015. Earlybird entries receive a $15 discount.
To be eligible, all work must have screened publically for the first time between July 1, 2013 and December 31, 2014; except for student films where the project needs only to have been completed within these dates.
Award applicants must be financial ADG members for the 2014 – 2015 year. Membership details available at: http://www.adg.org.au/membership.aspx
Executive Director of the Australian Directors’ Guild, Kingston Anderson, said: “Our awards have grown over the past few years with 2015 shaping up to be the biggest yet. As well as the categories listed below we will consider all features length application for our Finders Award that will take a film and director without US distribution to Los Angeles and New York for screenings to potential distributors. This is done in conjunction with the Directors Guild of America. We also hope to announce an exciting venue change for the awards in 2015 so stay tuned.”

The ADG board also looks at a range of special awards each year including the CECIL HOLMES AWARD, ASSISTANT DIRECTORS AWARD, MICHAEL CARSON AWARD FOR TV DRAMA, LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD and the new INNOVATION AWARD. The award from this group that will be given in 2015 will be announced early next year.
