The 22nd Annual Flickerfest International Short Film Festival launches this Friday Night 11 January, under the stars, at Bondi Pavilion. Following a screening of festival highlights is a glamorous after party featuring stars and rising talent of today's film industry.

A record number of films were entered into this year’s festival. Making the selection is the World premiere of THE CAPTAIN starring Taika Waititi directed by Nash Edgerton and Spencer Susser. It will be competing amongst other Australian shorts in the recently Academy Accredited Best Australian Short Film category.

The after party presents  ‘Blue Hawaii’ as this year’s festival theme.  It will feature a performance by World-renowned Elvis Presley tribute artist Jacqueline Feilich. DJ Stephen Ferris will then take the reins to keep the party going early into the morning whilst the bar stays open. Misschu, Rosnay Organic Wines, Little Creatures Brewing, Crystal Head Vodka and Phoenix Organic Juices are also partnering with Flickerfest to offer up gourmet food and beverages for the evening.

Flickerfest continues for ten days with the Closing Night being held on Sunday 20 Jan. There is an array of films that caters for everyone including Short Laughs Comedy, From The Oscars shorts, our quirky Viva Las Elvis Tribute Shorts programme, FlickerKids-shorts for shorties, GreenFlicks- eco shorts and many more…
