After sweeping the Berlinale awards with wins for Best Film, Best Actor and Best Actress, it is no surprise that the winning film in the 2011 MIFF People's Choice Awards, Asghar Farhadi's A SEPARATION, was a hit with MIFF audiences.

The wining documentary came from the inaugural This Sporting Life program stream, Asif Kapadia's SENNA, "a high-octane bio of one of auto racing's greatest figures."
