ABC picks up funny FARM

Brisbane animation company FARMkids proudly announced today that its new show will premiere on Australia’s national broadcaster ABC1 at 4:08pm on Tuesday 1 July 2008.
FARMkids is a new animated children’s series for 6-11 year olds featuring a quirky collection of pampered petting-zoo animals who don’t have a clue how to survive in the country when they are unexpectedly relocated to Dude Ranch.

Produced in stunning 3D computer generated images FARMkids is said to be amongst the world’s best animation currently made for television. While the series has crazy characters and fast paced comedy, FARMkids also contains positive themes and messages for children.
Scott Strachan, creator of FARMkids says: "We set out to make a great TV show for kids with international appeal and which also retained that unique Australian style of humor. FARMkids is currently seen in over 16 countries around the world, including the United States and South America where it receives top ratings and reviews. Now being on air in our home country on ABC TV is the icing on the cake for us as Australian producers."

"We are delighted that ABC has chosen to broadcast FARMkids and we are glad that Australian kids can now enjoy it," says Strachan.

Later in 2008 Australian kids will be able to experience the FARMkids Live Show and see FARMkids on DVD.
