ABC providing live coverage of Queensland floods

Press release from ABC

ABC TV is providing up‐to‐date live coverage nationally of the Queensland floods on both ABC1 and ABC News 24.

ABC1 will provide live rolling coverage provided by ABC NEWS 24 (including regular scheduled programs like Midday Report) all day until 1900 AEST.

The ABC TV network will be provided ‘off delay’ around the country, so all states will see this coverage as it happens.

Until further notice, programming will include:

Tonight’s National Coverage: Nationally on ABC1 and ABC News 24 (AEST)

1900 National News

2000 Queensland News (Networked Nationally)

2030 ‐2130 News Special with Leigh Sales

ABC1 Controller Brendan Dahill said: “Due to the significance of the ongoing events in Queensland, it is important that ABC TV directs its resources to provide the public with up‐to‐date information and coverage on both ABC1 and ABC News 24 channels. We have our best teams working around the country to deliver quality news coverage that the ABC is committed to provide.”
