Alex Daw to leave AFTRS

Alex Daw is leaving AFTRS after working with the school for seventeen years and making a significant contribution to both AFTRS and the industry. She will be leaving to pursue a Masters of Arts in Information Studies at the University of Canberra.

Since 1994 Alex Daw has played an integral role for AFTRS both in Queensland and nationally. Her achievements include managing the internship scheme at the Pacific Film Television Commission, managing the Meet the Filmmaker seminars at the Brisbane Film Festival, serving as an AFTRS Council Member between 2000-2002, being the National Industry Training Manager in 2004 and championing the development of Queensland filmmakers through short course and award course programs.
