Employing over 30 Tasmanian crew, providing nine attachment opportunities and with the majority of cast coming from Tasmania, Arctic Blast has been filming in and around Hobart for the past two weeks, with production due to finish this week.
The script has been written especially for Hobart, with lots of well-known local landmarks being used throughout the film. Cast and crew have been working hard to complete the shoot on-schedule, and with Michael Shanks of Stargate – SG1 fame as lead actor the film has resulted in international media coverage for Tasmania.
Screen Tasmania sends out congratulations to Executive Producers Antony I. Ginnane, Pierre David, Tom Berry and Ann Lyons and Producers Gina Black and Stefan Wodoslawsky, as well as the cast and crew for their work on the production and we look forward to seeing the completed project.
