Australians pick up Emmy nods for reality TV and sound

TV production house Beyond Productions and sound re-recording mixer David Raines have been nominated for Emmy Awards.

Beyond Productions received their third nomination for Mythbusters in the Outstanding Reality Program Category. The Sydney-based company is competing against five other shows, including Antiques Roadshow and Deadliest Catch.

Meanwhile, sound re-recording mixer David Raines has been nominated for his work on crime drama Burn Notice in the Creative Arts category for Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series.

The LA based sound superviser and re-recording mixer was also nominated for a Cinema Audio Society Sound Mixing Award earlier this year.

In January, he received a nomination for the Cinema Audio Society Sound Mixing Award for baseball film Calvin Marshall.

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will air on September 18, with the Creative Arts awards announced on September 10.
