Entries are now open for the CinéfestOZ Film Prize for a feature length Australian film which will be awarded during the festival, 26 – 30 August, in the Margaret River region.

This film prize rewards remarkable Australian filmmaking with a $100,000 award.

In 2014, the inaugural CinéfestOZ Film Prize was won by the family friendly, Robert Connolly-directed film, Paper Planes, which is currently performing strongly at the Australian box office since its 15 January 2015 cinema release.

The CinéfestOZ Film Prize is supported by the Western Australian State Government through Tourism WA’s Regional Events Program, which is funded by Royalties for Regions.

Shortlisted films vying for the Prize will premiere in Western Australia at the CinéfestOZ film festival in August.

Film submissions close 5 June 2015.
