Belladonna – latest film from Glass Kingdom set to launch

Press release from PlatinumPR

A LOVE STORY THAT SPANS CENTURIES

Have you ever felt love at first sight or instantly recognised a person without ever meeting them? That feeling of knowing is what happens between characters Luke and Amelia when they meet in the movie Belladonna, the latest production from Glass Kingdom.

Already receiving worldwide acclaim after featuring at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, Belladonna is a love story which starts in sixteenth century Poland and reconnects in present day Australia. It explores the intuitive world of human beings and how we are all profoundly linked to each another.

Luke, who is preparing to wed his long-time girlfriend Katherine, is plagued with dreams of a woman from a time long ago. He knows subconsciously that the match with Katherine is wrong; that part of him is missing. When he meets Amelia something clicks deep within, he knows that he has found his one true love, the one he knows, the one he has always known.

Belladonna stars Australian actors Kate Kendall (Stingers, The Pacific, City Homicide) as Katherine and Todd Macdonald (The Jammed, Love Me Tender, Sahara) as Luke and introduces Polish actors Katia Mazurek and Pawel Smagala. The soundtrack features well known Australian artists Bobby Flynn and Lamplight.

Belladonna will premiere at the Palace Como on Wednesday 10 November 2010 and will commence limited Melbourne screenings in November and December 2010 at selected Palace Cinemas.

Premiere tickets are available direct from the Como Cinema and online at www.belladonnathemovie.com. Regular session tickets are available online at www.palacecinemas.com.au or at the box office. Belladonna will release nationally in early 2011.
