‘Braille’ to open DiCE Exhibition

Press Release from The DiCE.

The Digital Independent Cinema Exhibition (DiCE) will open on October 6th 2010 with a screening of Matthew Chuang’s acclaimed heist film Braille and an exclusive Q&A with the film’s creators and star.

The evening will commence at 7:30pm at 1000 £ Bend in Melbourne’s CBD. The Q&A will be mediated by Peter Krausz, Chair of the Australian Film Critics Association and 3CR radio presenter.

Joining Braille writer and director Matthew Chuang at the Q&A session will be the film’s producer Luke Graham, and star and stunt coordinator Zero Murray.

Braille tells the story of an aged blind man who, in an effort to reconnect with his broken past, hires three young thieves to help him retrieve a precious diamond, and to finish the job he started fifteen years ago.

The first of its kind in Australia, DiCE was devised by founder Mark Lipkin as an opportunity for independent digital filmmakers to make connections with local audiences, with an eye to increasing audience-filmmaker dialogue and strengthening the local film industry. Details of further screenings will be announced shortly.

Tickets for Braille at the DiCE grand opening can be purchased at the door or alternatively pre-ordered by sending details to ticketing@thedice.com.au.
