Press release from ABC TV

Greg Dee was appointed the new Melbourne-based Executive Producer for ABC TV’s Arts, Entertainment and Comedy.

Greg has spent the last seven years as General Manager of the Melbourne free-to-air community station Channel 31, overseeing a variety of programs including the Bazura Project, Blokesworld, Deaf TV and the original Salam Café.

Amanda Duthie, Head of ABC TV Arts, Entertainment and Comedy, said she was delighted to have Greg in the team.

“I am thrilled Greg is joining ABC TV fresh from Channel 31 – a hothouse of ideas, a diverse slate of programs and a source of fab talent” she said.

Greg Dee said “Australia has a dazzling array of talented performers, writers, producers and directors. ABC TV has always been the home of great Australian arts, comedy and entertainment and I am excited to be part of the team that supports this creative community.”

Greg Dee will be replacing Megan Harding as Executive Producer of Arts, Entertainment and Comedy ABC TV Melbourne.

Amanda Duthie said “After four years at ABC TV, Megan is moving overseas and she leaves the organisation with a legacy of extraordinary programs, including Review with Myles Barlow, Lawrence Leung’s Choose Your Own Adventure and Double the Fist. She also established Artscape, the ABC1 arts slot on Tuesday at 10pm where she commissioned a range of innovative and award-winning documentaries. We wish her all the best on her own new adventures”.
