Chris Adams to speak at SPAA

Hollywood entertainment executive Chris Adams, CEO of Accelerant and View2gether.com will be a keynote speaker at the Conference.

Chris Adams is an internationally recognized new media pioneer, entertainment industry executive and social entrepreneur with nearly twenty years of experience in creating partnerships, programming and relationships between and to the benefit of digital media, entertainment and online brands.

Adams’ experience spans the internet days of working on behalf of Amazon and Lycos and helping to start Pop.com, the digital media start-up led by Stephen Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer to his involvement with a range of companies where he has partnered with such leaders as eBay’s Jeff Skoll to create Participant Media, a film financing company with a vision to “leverage the power of the media to inspire social change” with a slate of movies including Syriana, North Country, Good Night and Good Luck, Charlie Wilson’s War, Kite Runner, and the Academy Award winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth; to working with Facebook to create and produce “Facebook Diaries,” the first ever user-generated content/Reality TV show; to building GlamTV for Glam.com (the largest site for women in the world);  to working with Comcast Cable and Interactive; to co-founding Accelerant Group, a venture accelerator that works with digital start-ups such as View2gether.com, which he now helms, and how this background has led to his new career in film, post-Participant, working in particular, with Australian’s to help take their projects to the world stage. Chris Adams knows Hollywood.

Chris Adams will speak on his plans to produce studio-financed films and highlight several projects he is currently working on with Australian filmmakers, tell the tales of how they were incubated and how, along with his producing partners, they are taking these films into the market.
