Clouds wins at Moonlight

Western Australian short film Clouds, produced by Annabelle Fouchard and written and directed by Will Faulkner, has won the first round of the Moonlight TV Short Film Festival.

Annabelle and Will win $3500 from the Festival and plan to use this to fund their next short film.

"Clouds has been nominated and screened at a couple of festivals, but this is the first thing it has won," said Annabelle.

Clouds is about a young boy who becomes lost in the bush, and uses his vivid imagination to get back home to safety. The film now automatically enters into round four of the Moonlight TV competition.

Clouds was one of only two Western Australian films entered into the competition’s first round. The other, Flowers for Emily, was produced by Lana Roberts, written by Leonie George and directed by Annabelle Fouchard.

Clouds was made for $2000 as part of the 2007 output of the Raw Nerve Fund. The Fund is in its fifth year and is a joint Initiative of the former Australian Film Commission and the Film and Television Institute.
