Curious makes David Suzuki doco available for DIY digital screenings

Press release from Barbara Messer PR

Curious has partnered with award-winning scientist and activist, David Suzuki, in a film distribution initiative that will help the planet and those affected by recent environmental events.

Last week, Curious hosted the Australian premiere of ‘FORCE OF NATURE: The David Suzuki Story’, a documentary that celebrates the life, work and legacy of David Suzuki.

The first Moonlight Cinema premiere of ‘FORCE OF NATURE’ took place in Melbourne on February 20, attended by David Suzuki. The next screenings are in Sydney on Monday February 28; and Perth on Monday March 7.

However, because one film print alone can travel up to 1000 miles during its theatrical lifespan, Curious is inviting audiences to organise their own digital DIY charity screenings of the film following its Australian premieres at Moonlight Cinema. This will significantly reduce the film’s environmental footprint.

“By making the film available digitally, we are encouraging concerned individuals, environmental agencies and organisations, schools and community leaders to inform and educate audiences to make a difference and help those affected by the flood, fire and cyclone events across the country,” says Michael Wrenn, from Curious.

In FORCE OF NATURE, 74 year-old David Suzuki looks back on his life in a heart-felt distillation of his life’s work, which offers up a blueprint for sustainability and survival.

DIY screenings can be arranged by contacting michaelwrenn@curiousfilm.com.
