Following on from the success of their annual conference on March 22nd, ASTRA is delighted to announce that the 10th Annual ASTRA Awards will this year return to Sydney Theatre at Walsh Bay for a star-studded ceremony to be held on Thursday June 21st. Last year marked the first time the event had been staged in the state-of-the-art venue.
The transition in 2009 from a roundtable event to a theatre-style presentation of the industry awards has proven successful, making the night even more streamlined and entertaining. Sydney Theatre offers an ideal venue to accommodate the large audience, including space for the afterparty on site.
The evening ceremony on June 21st will honour and celebrate Australian subscription TV talent, programming and production. The ASTRA Awards recognize the wealth of talent that drives the Australian subscription TV industry and highlights the creativity, commitment and investment of subscription TV in production and broadcasting.
“This year the ASTRA Awards reaches a benchmark being its tenth year,” said Petra Buchanan, Chief Executive of ASTRA. “This event, like the subscription television industry in Australia itself, has certainly come of age over the past decade and it is vital that we continue to recognise the
