PRESS RELEASE

SYDNEY, 21 November 2014 – Industry stalwart Dave Demmocks has joined Magna Systems and Engineering to head up Digital Solutions Sales as the company expands in the broadcast industry and moves into new markets. Demmocks, a senior sales manager with over thirty years experience in the IT industry for companies including Future Reality, Data Direct Networks, Isilon and Autodesk, will concentrate on bringing products and solutions to industries adjacent to and including the broadcast industry such as corporate video, government video, ProAV, defence, police and emergency services.

Demmocks said, “I’ve joined an expanding team at Magna at a very exciting time. Magna’s policy to geo-diversify its offices, skills and knowledge base has paid dividends and is the main reason the company is still going strong after 45 years. My role is to offer the broadcast industry and other industries products and solutions that will complement and complete our current skill set including storage, archiving and MAM.”

Demmocks’ arrival widens Magna’s ever-growing knowledge base and is further evidence of the company’s commitment to growth.

Magna Systems Director of Engineering Barry Pegg added, “Having Dave join us is part of our goal of increasing, deepening and widening the digital solutions we can offer across many different industries. Dave has a wealth of IT knowledge and along with the rest of the team, will also be researching new products for all of our clients in the Asia Pacific region.”

Demmocks has already hit the ground running playing a major part in several significant tender responses. He concluded, “Magna is always bringing on board clever, new partners such as Maxicaster, the online TV and multi-screen solution, and we intend to team up with many more that are relevant and synergistic to our software products. In short Magna Systems is building and offering more complete solutions for the broadcast and its adjacent industries by design.”
