Detachment trailer, starring Adrien Brody

The director of American History X is back. Tony Kaye, best known for directing music videos, is at the top of a new film starring Adrien Brody – Detachment.

The film chronicles three weeks in the lives of high school teachers, administrators and students and is shown through the eyes of substitute teacher Henry Barthes (played by Brody). He's a lost soul who conveniently avoids any emotional connections by never staying anywhere long enough to form a connection with either his students or colleagues.

Making up the cast includes Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), William Peterson (CSI), Lucy Liu (Kill Bill) and James Caan (The Godfather).

There is no current Australian release date however it's opening in the US in March.
