Endemol Shine Group formalizes global distribution arm

Newly launched global content creator, producer and distributor Endemol Shine Group, which brings together Endemol, Shine and CORE Media, has  announced details of its newly combined global distribution arm.

The new operation, which will focus on finished programming distribution, brings together the teams from Shine International and Endemol Worldwide Distribution (EWD) under the new banner Endemol Shine International.

The worldwide team at Endemol Shine International is led by Cathy Payne, who was appointed CEO of the combined distribution business at the end of 2014.

In Australia and New Zealand  Endemol's Kirsten Cargill and Shine International’s Lisa Higginson retain their respective roles as Senior Sales Director and Sales Director for the region, working out of Sydney.

The combined business has regionally focused hubs in eight cities worldwide including London, Los Angeles, Paris, Sydney, Miami and Moscow and is also broadening its reach in Asia with new distribution offices in Singapore and Mumbai.

Leading distribution operations across the Americas, Asia, Australia and New Zealand is Executive Vice President, Sales & Acquisitions Matt Creasey, based in Los Angeles.

Heading up Endemol Shine International’s teams across the European region is Executive Director, Europe, Mark Lawrence, based in London. Also based in London are John Richards in the role of Chief Financial Officer and Jan Rowland who becomes Endemol Shine International’s Head of Operations.

Taking up new positions in Europe are James Braham who becomes Endemol Shine International’s Senior Sales Director UK & Eire and Lisette Schlippe who becomes Senior Sales Director Germany & Major Central and Eastern Europe.

In France, where Endemol’s and Shine’s operations remain independently operated and run as separate entities, the new distribution business will have an expanded presence with Shine International’s Priscilla Siney and EWD’s Solange Ribeiro-Murphy both continuing in their roles as Senior Sales Directors for French Territories.

New external appointments will include a Sales Director for Asia working out of Singapore and reporting to Senior Sales Director, Asia, Rashmi Bajpai, who is based in the new distribution office in Mumbai. Other forthcoming appointments will include a new Head of Acquisitions to be based in London.

Endemol Shine International has a combined portfolio of over 38,000 hours of owned and third party programming across scripted and non-scripted genres. This includes Broadchurch Peaky Blinders, The Fall, Humans, The Frankenstein Chronicles, Code of a Killer, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Grantchester, Kingdom, Hot in Cleveland, Home and Away, MasterChef, The Block, 24 Hours in A & E, Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, One Born Every Minute, My Kitchen Rules, The Biggest Loser and Mr Bean.
