Lauren Peacock has joined Essential Media Group as head of commercial partnerships, a newly created role as the production company ramps up its branded content activity.

Previously she was brand partnerships manager for the Seven Network Australia, where she was responsible for sponsors and partners for the format Better Homes and Gardens.

Before that she was commercial partnerships manager of production at Endemol Shine Australia.

In her new role she will secure and manage commercial partnerships across Essential Media Group’s burgeoning production slate. Brand-funded progams include Sammy & Bella’s Kitchen Rescue, which aired on Network Ten earlier this year, and Anna Gare’s Cab Fare, which screens on Nine on Saturdays at 12.30 pm.

She reports to Brendan Dahill, EMG’s recently appointed general manager for Australia and New Zealand, who said: “Lauren has an exceptional track record of overseeing major companies’ commercial activities and we know she will do a fantastic job here at Essential.”

The appointment follows EMG’s recent commission of a third series of adventure science series Body Hack by Ten.
