Queer Screen Film Festival

Queer Screen has moved its upcoming Queer Screen Film Fest competely online with films available nationally on demand for 11 days. The 9th Queer Screen Film Fest’s full program will be announced on Thursday 26 August. Over 40 feature films, documentaries and shorts will be available to stream by LGBTIQ+ communities and allies.

The Festival in 2022 will celebrate 31 years of screening the best short films from Australia and around the world in competitions and special showcases. MPA APSA Academy Film Fund

A joint initiative of the Asia Pacific Screen Academy (APSA) and the Motion Picture Association (MPA), the $US100,000 fund represents both organisation’s shared goals to increase cultural diversity on screen, and is open exclusively to members of the Asia Pacific Screen Academy. The Australian Production Design Guild (APDG) will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its awards in 2021. This year’s awards have an extensive 23 categories, including the traditional live performance, film, television, event, animation and costume design awards, in addition to new categories that include set decorators, screen graphic designers and live performance video designers.
