Family action thriller Conspiracy 365 to shoot in June

Movie Network Channels (MNC) has announced plans to begin production of family multi-platform action-thriller Conspiracy 365 in June.

Based on the internationally successful novels from Australian author Gabrielle Lord, the 12-part series will be screened in monthly episodes on family movie channel FMC. The series follows a year in the life of teen fugitive Cal Ormond on the hunt for his family secrets.

The involvement of Emmy award-winning digital production house Hoodlum Entertainment will extend the project from one-hour episodes across mobile and broadband platforms.

MNC general manager, content strategy and marketing, Peter Jenetsky, said the project "will be accompanied by an extensive multi-platform content strategy using interactive and stimulating game play; making it one of the first projects of its kind to be undertaken by any Australian broadcaster."

MNC chief executive Tony Forrest said the project, which is budgeted at more than $13 million, will be fully-funded by MNC.

Conspiracy 365, which is being produced by Melbourne-based production company Circa Entertainment, will start production in June and will be broadcast in 2012.
