Catch the final Flickerfest Fling in Melbourne this week !

After three sensational film filled months of crisscrossing the country at 19 venues, the Flickerfest travelling picture show finally reaches its last destination for 2009, with our Melbourne screenings on the 26th and 27th of March. Southern film fans can experience the freshest short films from local film makers with our Best Of Melbourne shorts programme, and our ode to the famous behind the camera, Celebrity shorts. Victorian audiences will get to see the cream of the local filmmaking crop on Opening Night with a specially curated screening of the Best Of Melbourne Shorts, fresh from the Flickerfest 2009 competition. The programme features AFI Award Winners Jerrycan & Dog With Electric Collar, the hilarious Chicken Of God directed and voiced by comedian Frank Woodley and Anthony Lucas’ charming short My Rabit Hoppy amongst others showcasing the brilliant Victorian talent.

Opening Night celebrations will continue after the 7pm screening with pizza from Tazio and drinks provided by Flickerfest beverage sponsors Coopers, The Wine Society, Jameson & Nudie.

Flickerfest brings the Hollywood A-listers to Melbourne on Friday March 27 screening its glamorous Celebrity Shorts programme from 7pm. Featuring the likes of Kate Hudson, Jennifer Aniston and Kirsten Dunst moving from in front of to behind the camera with their shorts, along with the visceral Occupations directed by Lars Von Trier and the raucous I Am Bob starring Bob Geldof as himself.
