Flickerfest heads to regional NSW

Flickerfest is taking the best of the world’s short films to film lovers in regional New South Wales. Romancing Narrabri on February 14, Gunnedah on February 15 and Kempsey on February 18 & 19.

Sell out crowds in Adelaide & Avoca were packed in to watch the enthralling international shorts and now Flickerfest continues its journey through New South Wales.

Flickerfest will be hitting the Crossing Theatre in NARRABRI Saturday February 14 & The Civic Theatre in GUNNEDAH on Sunday February 15, screening the International 3 Programme featuring a special screening of the hilarious ‘I AM BOB’ starring Bob Geldof and free Coopers beer to set the mood. Kempsey locals will get an insight into the 2009 Academy® Award nominations with both Oscar nominated shorts – ‘On The Line’ & ‘Lavatory Love Story’ screening in International 1 & 2 respectively. They’ll also get a taste of Oscar whilst enjoying a free Coopers beer, the perfect Aussie accompaniment to the world’s best shorts.

Lastly – Flickerfest is proud to announce the Flickerfest IF Media Award for Most Popular Film in 2009 was awarded to fOUR, written & directed by Erin White and produced by Zyra McAuliffe.
