Winding up this season’s shows, Flickerfest on EXTRA goes out with bang with two home-grown comedies that have been lauded at festivals across the globe and an in-depth interview with Australian directing legend Bruce Beresford.

In his day, Bruce Beresford has been hammered by critics for being a yobbo, and at other times his films have been lauded for their sensitivity. Only a guy with broad shoulders can survive that particular rollercoaster. In this extended interview we meet Bruce at his most candid, talking about the success of films such as Mao’s Last Dancer and the pitfalls of the Australian film industry
