Fujifilm sponsors Mudfest

FUJIFILM Australia today gave details of their prize sponsorship for the upcoming 2009 Elliot Rocke Mudfest – Mudgee International Short Film Festival.

FUJIFILM Australia General Manager Recording Media / Motion Picture Film Marc Van Agten explained, “I am delighted to announce that FUJIFILM will give $1,500 worth of Recording Media products to the maker of the film awarded ‘Best Australian film shown on the night’. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of recording media and motion picture film, we are committed to supporting quality film festivals like Elliot Rocke Mudfest. FUJIFILM has had a long and distinguished history in the movie industry and I’m very pleased to say that our motion picture film products are increasingly becoming the stock of choice for independent film makers.”

Over 500 entries from 30 different countries have been received in each of the past 2 years and with entries already flowing in it looks like being another strong year comprising both Australian & International short films.

Co-founder of Elliot Rocke Mudfest, Peter Scott commented, “We are excited to have FUJIFILM on board as a sponsor and think this prize offers a great incentive for Australian filmmakers to enter and be in the running to have their work shown alongside some of the best short films from around the globe.”

Elliot Rocke Mudfest screens on the 3rd Saturday of March each year with the 2009 festival taking place on Saturday March 21. Entries close on January 31, 2009.

Entry to Elliot Rocke Mudfest is FREE with the only criteria being that films must not be any longer than 15mins and comply with the Australian MA15+ classification.
