Fujifilm unveils new XDCAM discs and increases stock levels of Pro Media in Aus

Press release from Well Above

At the recent Inter BEE exhibition in Tokyo, Fujifilm unveiled their new XDCAM triple layer and quad layer discs which are currently in final development stage and which the company plans to release in Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Fujifilm also made a commitment to their Pro Media customers across Australia to have several months’ worth of stock available at all times throughout 2011 and 2012 to avoid any shortages and bottlenecks.

Fujifilm Australia General Manager Motion Picture Film, Recording Media and Optical Devices Marc Van Agten said, “The new XDCAM triple layer and quad layer discs are very exciting developments which we are looking forward to taking to the market as soon as possible. Fujifilm pro media factories were very fortunate not to have been affected by the terrible natural disasters of 2011 and so we have committed to having several month’s worth of stock available in our local warehouses at all times for the foreseeable future. This means our customers throughout Australia and New Zealand will always be able to get stock when they require it and will have the shortest possible lead times when ordering new stock.”
