Ground Beneath wins …

The Ground Beneath won three prizes this past week at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival in France, the most prestigious festival in the world for short films. Both writer/director Rene Hernandez and producer Kristina Ceyton were in France to accept the awards.


The Ground Beneath won the Mediatheques Prize, received a Special Mention by the Youth Jury and a further Special Mention by the International Press.

The Ground Beneath was funded through Screen Australia and produced by Passion Pictures in Sydney. The film previously won an AFI for Best Screenplay for a Short Film, and also picked up the Grand Prix at the Prague Short Film Festival.
