Screen Producers Australia Executive Director Matthew Deaner said, “At its core the industry remains a relationship business where global partners are essential. Last’s year’s inaugural IPM was embraced by international and Australian producers and it confirmed for us the importance of bringing potential partners together. We are excited to build on its success with so many key figures from international markets already confirmed to attend.”

The IPM, which runs throughout the Conference as a series of one on one meetings, was introduced in 2013. This year, SCREEN FOREVER welcomes a delegation from New Zealand headed by New Zealand Film Commission Chief Executive Officer, Dave Gibson that includes Glenn Usmar, Television Manager, NZ On Air; Richard Fletcher, Co-President, SPADA/Co-Managing Director, Libertine Pictures; and Sandy Gildea, Executive Director, SPADA. New Zealand producers participating in the IPM are Angela Littlejohn, Head of Production, Pukeko Pictures; Emma Slade, Producer, Firefly Films; Matthew Metcalfe, Producer, GFC; Steven O’Meagher, Producer, Desert Road Productions; Tim Sanders, Producer, Field Theory; Victoria Spackman, Chief Executive Officer, Gibson Group and Rachel Jean, Head of Development, South Pacific Pictures. These IPM delegates will also be joined at the Conference by representatives from other leading New Zealand production companies.

Deaner said, “The representation from New Zealand continues our commitment to developing opportunities for collaboration in markets where we have co‐production agreements already in place, and our partners across the Tasman are ideal partners from a cultural and geographic perspective. This is an impressive list of producers and decision makers and we look forward to fruitful collaborations as a result.”

NZFC CEO Dave Gibson said, “Getting more production happening with Australia is a major goal for the New Zealand screen sector. Our producers attending SCREEN FOREVER 2014 are actively looking for partnerships, and I have no doubt New Zealand’s participation this year will lead to some great projects being made.”

Screen Producers Australia has worked closely in developing appropriate partnership opportunities for participating producers through the IPM with Screen Australia, Ausfilm and Screen Queensland who are sponsors of the International Partnership Market and ScreenWest, a sponsor of SCREEN FOREVER.
