James Franco calls on Australia to end banning of I Want Your Love [VIDEO]

James Franco, who appears in Disney's upcoming big-budget film Oz the Great and Powerful, has called the Australian Classification Board's decision to ban I Want Your Love silly, short-sighted and hypocritical.

The Travis Mathews-directed film, which depicts graphic homosexual sex, was due to play at Australian festivals before the ban. However, Franco (who recently co-directed bondage film Interior. Leather Bar. with Mathews) said the filmmaker was using sex in a "sophisticated way" and the ban was short-sighted and hypocticial. "I don't think we'd be having this conversation if he had made a very violent film," he said.
