Josh Reed wins Best Director for Primal at Bloodfest

Press Release from Primal the Movie

Josh Reed takes out best director award for his adrenalin-fueled gore-feast PRIMAL at the inaugural Bloodfest Fantastique Film Festival in Melbourne.

PRIMAL’s raw appeal made it a favourite at the festival, which sets out to celebrate the visceral edge of the horror genre. The low-budget survival-horror showcases Reed’s exceptional talents.

Having already released to great reception in the US through IFC on demand, chalking up big rentals on Netflix and peaking at #9 on the IMDB horror charts, the Bloodfest award provides well-deserved recognition on the home front.

Reed is currently in development on his second feature project, through his LA-based management Circle of Confusion (producers of acclaimed TV series The Walking Dead) and Sydney production outfit Known Associates.
