Kids Rule on tenplay Kids

Children’s entertainment gets a new lease of life online with the launch of tenplay Kids through Network Ten’s new digital platform, tenplay, on Monday, December 9.

A dedicated digital hub just for kids, tenplay Kids will feature on-demand video for much loved cartoons, kids and pre-school programs, including favourites Totally Wild, Scope, Mako – Island of Secrets, Wurrawhy and the new series Matt Hatter Chronicles, which will premiere on ELEVEN in
December.

From January 2014, iCarly, all new Pokémon and a refreshed format of Australia’s beloved Hi-5 House will also be featured on ELEVEN and will be available for catch-up on tenplay Kids.

Launching just in time for the summer school holidays, tenplay Kids is an online destination that people can engage with anytime, anywhere on the tenplay.com.au/kids website and mobile application using the tenplay app for iPhone and iPad.

Network Ten’s Chief Digital Officer, Rebekah Horne, said: “We are very excited to create a new home for children’s entertainment online.

“Since it launched on September 30 this year, tenplay has been an instant hit with consumers.

“The addition of tenplay Kids is just the start of a series of new content and distribution initiatives we will roll out for tenplay over the next 12 months,” she said.

Network Ten’s Head of Children’s Television, Cherrie Bottger, said: “We are thrilled to have secured the digital rights for many of our key children’s programs so that they are available on tenplay Kids immediately after broadcast on ELEVEN.

“tenplay Kids further cements our commitment to children’s entertainment.”

Other programs that will become available on tenplay Kids include Victorious, Beyblade Metal Fury, BeyWheelz, B-Damon Crossfire, Invizimals, Slugterra, Mia and Me, Monster High and SheZow.

Parents of pre-schoolers will also find age-appropriate catch-up videos for programs such as Care Bears, Dinosaur Train, Strawberry Shortcake, Tree Fu Tom and all new animated Australian drama offerings Jar Dwellers and Vic the Viking.

tenplay Kids will complement ELEVEN’s dedicated programming block of innovative children’s programs, which kicks off every day from 6am with Toasted TV.

Hosts Jono and Ollie give viewers their daily dose of morning chaos and must-watch cartoons, followed by a rotating line-up of proven favourites.

With a commitment to investing in high-end, engaging children’s entertainment, Network Ten produces more than 1300 hours a year of premium content just for kids.
