Lebanese Ambassador supports festival

Press Release from Lebanese Film Festival

The Lebanese Ambassador to Australia, Dr Jean Daniel, has expressed his support for the Lebanese Film Festival.

Mr Daniel says, “I am very happy to support the Lebanese Film Festival Association. It paints a positive image of Lebanon and we are confident of the success of the inaugural festival”.

Lebanese Film Festival Director, Camille Lattouf, Co-Director, Jessica Khoury and Media and Marketing Manager, Julia Lattouf, met with Mr Daniel and his wife, Mireille, in Canberra earlier this year.

LFF Director, Mr Camille Lattouf says, “It is an honour to have the support of the Lebanese Ambassador to Australia. Mr Daniel has been of great assistance to us in providing a link with the broader Lebanese community across Australia.”

With the help of Mr Daniel, the recent Multicultural festival in Canberra saw the Lebanese Film Festival Association contribute to showcasing Lebanon and its culture.

Mr Daniel also enabled the Lebanese Film Festival Association to meet with His Excellency, President of the Republic of Lebanon, Michel Suleiman during his brief visit to Australia, to briefly inform him of the project.

The inaugural event will take place between 22 August and 2 September 2012.
