Let’s Talk About premieres on Presto
Presto today announced that Let’s Talk About, the 10-part series about being ‘up the duff” in a relationship that’s only just begun has started streaming exclusively for Presto TV and Presto Entertainment subscribers.
Let’s Talk About, the made for Presto short-form series, was produced by up-and coming writer, director and actor Matilda Brown, the daughter of Australian actor Bryan Brown who also stars in the program along with Matilda’s co-star, Richard Davies (‘Offspring’).
Each 3 to 6 minute episode of Let’s Talk About focuses on a particular subject during the nine months of pregnancy resulting in great entertainment that is engaging, informative, cheeky and funny.
Let’s Talk About revolves around Claire (played by Matilda Brown) and Ben (Richard Davies) who have only recently started dating and now discover that Claire is pregnant. Their predicament means there are some conversations they just can’t avoid, no matter how painful, and this series explores them.
The series also stars Lisa Hensley (‘Brides of Christ’, ‘Dating the Enemy’) as Claire’s mother, while Bryan Brown (‘Cocktail’, ‘Australia’, ‘Two Hands’) plays her on screen father. Also featuring in the series are Steve Le Marquand (‘Rake’, ‘Underbelly’) as a surf shop owner and Bruce Spence (‘Legend of the Seeker’, ‘Cloudstreet’) as a father of three with one on the way.
Shaun James, Presto TV CEO, said, “Let’s Talk About is a fun and lighthearted look at pregnancy that is sure to engage audiences quickly and connect us through topics we can all identify with. Let’s Talk About is the ideal kind of ‘snack-able’ content that can keep subscribers entertained at any time of the day and Ms. Brown has done a remarkable job in helping us relate to the characters in the series’ short form episodes. We’re sure subscribers will be talking about it for a long time.”
Presto has also acquired the two seasons of Matilda’s previous short form series Lessons From The Grave, in which she also stars with her father as fictional daughter and father, Bonnie and Douglas, who live in a remote country area. Douglas wins the lottery but has a heart attack and dies and is unwilling to move into the next world until he knows Bonnie will be OK and so remains as a ghost to teach her some lessons in life.
All 20 episodes of Lessons from the Grave are also available for Presto TV and Presto Entertainment bundle subscribers to stream on demand.
Both Let’s Talk About and Lessons from The Grave have been developed with the assistance of Screen NSW.
