Luke Carroll joins cast of ABC’s Play School

Popular young Australian actor, Luke Carroll will join the cast of ABC TV’s Play School, with his first episode airing in November on ABC1 this year.

Luke will join Hugh Sheridan, Georgie Parker, Jay Laga’aia, Rhys Muldoon, Justine Clarke, Alex Papps, Leah Vandenberg, Teo Gebert, Sofya Gollan and Andrew McFarlane as regular presenters.

Beginning his career at a young age, Luke has had a remarkable range of television experience including appearances on Heartbreak High, Lift-Off, Water Rats, Home And Away, Ocean Girl and as host of the Indigenous award show The Deadly Awards.

Among his highest achievements Luke has been nominated for two AFI awards for his roles in the film Australian Rules and the mini-series RAN.

In his first Play School episode, Luke will appear alongside Teo Gebert as they dress up as kings, go on a treasure hunt and play a memory game.

Luke said “I am extremely honoured to be given the chance to be part of such a respected and prestigious children television show that has graced out screens for so many years”.

Play School aims to encourage a child to wonder, to think, to feel and to imagine. It goes to air every weekday throughout the year on ABC1 at 9.30am and at 3.00pm and on ABC2 at 2.00pm.
