Media Super welcomes Aus premiere of Not Suitable For Children

Press release from Media Super

Media Super has welcomed the national release of Not Suitable for Children starring Ryan Kwanten, Sarah Snook & Ryan Coor, directed by Peter Templeton in his feature film debut.

‘Not Suitable for Children is one of a series of local film & TV productions that Media Super helps finance. It is always satisfying to see when Australian talent and creativity arrives on the big screen’ CEO Ross Martin said.

‘Through our landmark investment arrangement with Fulcrum Media Finance, the fund provides a multi-million dollar revolving loan facility that provides debt finance during the production stage for a range of domestic film & television productions. Launched in 2009, Media Super has been progressively investing in high quality productions, helping develop one of our core industries.’

‘Media Super members have earned a competitive return from this unique portfolio & the assistance from our industry partners has been invaluable for the scoping & due diligence required for this kind of alternative investment. With the support of both the Screen Producers Association of Australia & the Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance, Media Super is engaging in an investment that directly benefits our members, local film and television producers, as well as participating employers.’

‘The revolving facility gives both the fund and our industry partner greater investment flexibility and has added significantly to Fulcrum’s funding capability, deepening the existing finance pool available to support local productions and complementing the funds provided by institutional and private investors.’ Ross Martin added.

Recent productions to benefit from Media Super investment include The Hunter starring Sam Neill and Willem Dafoe, Wish You Were Here starring Joel Edgerton and the highly successful Miss Fishers Murder Mysteries series, recently screened on ABC TV, featuring Essie Davis.

Not Suitable for Children opens in cinemas nationally on July 12th.
