Media Funds Management (MFM) is pleased to announce it has recently secured funding for three Australian motion pictures that are now in production.
“I am happy to confirm that in recent days MFM has secured funding for Fred Schepisi‘s ‘The Eye of the Storm’ staring Geoffrey Rush Judy Davis Charlotte Rampling, Simon Wincer’s ‘The Cup’ staring Brendan Gleeson and Tim Curry and Troy Dann’s animation movie ‘Oakie’s Outback Adventures’ said James M. Vernon, Executive Producer and Managing Director of MFM.
“MFM is funding against assets such as the Producers Offset and pre-sales, MGs and DGs” said Vernon. “We believe the Producers Offset system is working well and presents little risk”, said Vernon. “Also distributors and buyers seem to be cautiously re-entering the marketplace and we expect that strengthening pre-sales conditions will soon follow”.
MFM is presently facilitating the funding of a bumper crop of commercial grade Australian and New Zealand large budget productions and now is looking to add more productions both big and small to its funding slate.
“We are particularly interested in securing funding rights to Australian and New Zealand television productions of any size” said Vernon.
