Missing William at Cannes Film Market

Press Release from Aloris Entertainment

Missing William is a romantic drama starring Brandon Routh (SUPERMAN RETURNS, SCOTT PILGRIM vs. THE WORLD, CHUCK), Courtney Ford (PARENTHOOD, TRUE BLOOD, DEXTER), Reid Scott (VEEP, THE BIG C) and Spencer Grammer (DESCENT, GREEK).

It was produced by John Santilli and Dan McKinnon of Aloris Entertainment (THE ENGLISH TEACHER), Matthew Chausse of Mirabelle Pictures (DARK TIDE, LUCKY), and Kendra Robichaud (LOOSIES, INKUBUS), and written by McKinnon, with Kenn MacRae (THE VIEW FROM GREENHAVEN) directing.

The story examines the love that lives through loss, and follows Ford’s character, Abby, living in Rhode Island and caring for her husband William after he's tragically injured in a bar fight. As she attempts to coax him back to health, James, her childhood sweetheart and unrequited love played by Routh, attempts to coax her back into living life again herself. The complicated love triangle that ensues is touching, poignant, and concludes with a realization that's as profound as it is beautiful.

The film marks LA-based Australian writer-director Kenn MacRae’s second feature after winning PROJECT GREENLIGHT AUSTRALIA with his brother in 2006 and directing THE VIEW FROM GREENHAVEN, which had a nine-month release in Australia and New Zealand.

“Dan wrote an incredibly unique and moving story and we all worked hard to get a cast that could do it justice.” Macrae said, “I’m thrilled that we were successful, and we now have a powerhouse sales agent in Inferno repping the film at the pinnacle of world film markets. Missing William is a small film that packs a huge punch and we’re very confident it will be extremely well-received.”
