More Village Vets Australia

Foxtel today announced the commissioning of a second season of local production Village Vets Australia for The LifeStyle Channel, with production commencing immediately.

Filmed across the picturesque Shoalhaven region of NSW’s South Coast, Village Vets Australia is an observational documentary series that follows country vets and long-time best mates Dr. James Carroll and Dr. Anthony Bennett as they work with animals big and small.

The 8-part 1-hour series will highlight the bonds between people and their pets, farmers and their animals, between the members of a tight-knit community and at the heart of them all – the friendship of two great mates.

General Manager of The LifeStyle Channels Hannah Barnes said: “Village Vets Australia is a broad heartland lifestyle show that has connected with our viewers both on-air and among our social community, in a really emotional way.

“We’re pleased to welcome James and Anthony – along with a host of wonderful animals and their owners – back to LifeStyle, for more fun and heart-warming stories from beautiful Berry and its surrounds.”

James and Anthony said: "We’re thrilled to be filming season 2 of Village Vets Australia. We love having the opportunity to show off the natural beauty of the area in which we live and bring into people's lounge rooms the work we do with a variety of animals and the humans that love and care for them.”

Screentime Head of Factual and Executive Producer, Simon Steel, said: "We're incredibly proud of Village Vets Australia and how well it's been received by the LifeStyle audience. The boys are a natural talent and we're grateful to the community of Berry for welcoming us in to their lives again for a second season."

Village Vets Australia is an original concept by Rodney Richmond and is produced by Screentime, a Banijay Group company, exclusively for Foxtel's The LifeStyle Channel.
