Screen Australia has decided that applications for projects funded in the Documentary Broadcast program with commercial free-to-air and pay broadcasters attached will be assessed in two batches for the rest of the financial year.
The deadline for the first batch is Friday October 16. The official decision date is Friday November 13. The second batch will take place early 2016, with a deadline date yet to be determined.
The decision to have two batches for this allocation under the Broadcast program ensures a competitive assessment of all applications in the context of limited available funds, according to Screen Australia.
"It enables us to be transparent, fair and accountable to all applicants, rather than giving an advantage to those projects that submit early," the agency said..
