‘Powered’ set to shoot on Fraser Coast

Powered.

Persius Entertainment, in conjunction with the Australian Independent Film Society (AIFS), will shoot feature Powered in Hervey Bay this November.

Powered delves into drug addiction and the strain it puts on loved ones in a world where people with enhanced abilities exist.

Persius’s head of development and production Joshuah Buckle has lived in Hervey Bay for the past six years and will both direct and produce the film.

"To be able to do what we love, creating stories to share with the world is amazing, and years ago we decided to focus on building great Australian films,” Buckle said.

“We want to help make our nation's cinema even greater, and what better way than to start in your own backyard.”

The production will use Fraser Coast actors and crew, with the majority of production taking place in Hervey Bay. Casting calls for the film for the open in August and will run through to September.

Persius Entertainment's production studio has been running in Hervey Bay since November 2014 and is currently working along a five year development plan that consists of six films.

Information on casting calls can be found on the Persius Entertainment Facebook page: www.facebook.com/persiusentertainment
