With nominations now announced and awards season about to kick off film industry heavyweights are gathering to present at the Kodak IF Awards Sydney.

Best Actress nominee Jacki Weaver will join fellow actors Sigrid Thornton, Jack Thompson, Matt Day, Sacha Horler and David Field to hand out the coveted awards.

Also among the presenters will be award winning directors Gillian Armstrong, Stephan Elliott, Phillip Noyce, who recently directed Angelina Jolie in the thriller Salt and Rake writer/director Peter Duncan.

They will be joined by rising stars Jodi Gordon, who just wrapped her first role in The Cup, Maeve Dermody and Ewen Leslie.

Coming out to support the presenters and nominees will be screen veterans Barry Otto, Martin Sacks as well as established actors Damien Walshe Howling and Marcus Graham.

Also confirmed to present are True Blood star Ryan Kwanten and director Patrick Hughes who are in Australia to promote their new film Red Hill.

The 2010 Kodak Inside Film Awards Sydney are the only people’s choice awards for Australian film.

Celebrating the achievements of the Australian film industry over the year, the IF Awards recognise talent not just within the feature filmmaking discipline, but also within short films, animations, music videos and documentaries, as well as for the first time in 2010 in the TV industry as well.

The IF Awards are unique in that they give fans a chance to step across the red carpet barriers and rub shoulders with their favourite stars.

Ticket holders for the 2010 Kodak Inside Film Awards, Sydney will experience the awards ceremony first hand at the Sydney City Recital Hall, Angel Place where they are amongst the who’s who of the entertainment industry for the 90 minute show.

They are then invited to celebrate alongside the winners at the after-party at ivy. For just $200 all food, beverages and entertainment are included…and not a VIP section in sight.
