Producer Michael Robertson selected for ACE international training program

Press release from Screen Australia

Producer Michael Robertson of Prodigy Movies has been selected to participate in the fourth edition of the Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (ACE) Mundus Programme. He will participate in an eight-day residential workshop for independent film producers, designed to encourage co-productions between Europe and the rest of the world and to build an international network of producers.

During the workshop Michael will focus on his feature project The Detective, to be directed by Peter Andrikidis.

ACE Mundus takes place from 25 March to 1 April 2012 in both Paris and Bucharest. By participating, Michael automatically joins the existing ACE Network of more than 160 producers from 38 countries.

Screen Australia, in partnership with ACE, has provided a special bursary of €5,800 to enable him to participate.

Seven other producers from six non-EU countries (Canada, Colombia, Israel, Japan, Mexico and Palestine) have also been selected.
Michael Robertson is a founding partner of Prodigy Movies, an independent production company based in Sydney. His producer credits include the feature films Black Water (2007), Road Train (2010) and The Reef (2010).
