Press release from Revelation Perth International Film Festival
Following on from the successful RevCon Sessions, a filmic conference where guests and audiences come together to talk about movie making and contemporary film culture, 2012 will see the first 'RevCon Academic'.
Alongside the usual RevCon events and workshops, RevCon Academic will offer an academic conference with an international Call for Papers.
Academics, postgraduates, undergraduates and independent researchers in film are all encouraged to submit a 300 word proposal for a conference paper by 1 April 2012.
The conference will run concurrently during the Revelation Perth International Film Festival in July 2012.
Additionally, 10 papers will be selected for a RevCon: Special Issue of SCAN Journal of Media Arts Culture. SCAN is a project of the Department of Media, Music Communications and Cultural Studies at Macquarie University, Sydney.
