The annual Festival opens with the Australian road movie Last Cab To Darwin which will be introduced by the film's director Jeremy Sims and cast including Michael Caton.

Special guests  will include Australian actors Ningali Lawford, Mark Coles Smith and Steve Bisley alongside national and international filmmakers, musicians, screen artists, academics and distributors.

Highlights of Revelation 2015 will include industry speakers, seminars and masterclasses; The Tribe – a feature film whose entire dialogue is sign language; ScreenWest’s annual showcase of emerging WA filmmaking talent in Get Your Shorts On!; the return of hugely popular Iranian Film Festival; the debut of the Polish Film Festival in Perth; and the Revel-8 super 8 short film festival.

Revelation has established itself as an international film festival like no other with its thoughtful and provocative program which boasts 123 film screenings with 38 Australian premieres, making it fertile ground for independent filmmakers, distributors and discerning audiences.

“"We're so proud of this year's event – the quality of all the films is just extraordinary. There's no fat and there's no fill," says Festival Director, Richard Sowada. "There's nothing but the highest international quality wall to wall – and for WA audiences, that's something of importance"

Revelation is proudly supported by the Australian and West Australian governments through ScreenWest and Screen Australia.
