ROBERT HALLAK COMES TO AUSTRALIA!

“The Misunderstood Method”

3- Day Actors Intensive

November 19th-21st, 2010

Actor, teacher, Lee Strasberg Protégé Robert Hallak will be in Australia for a three day Actors Intensive Workshop conducted in Melbourne during November.

Mr. Hallak has worked with some of the true greats of the worldwide acting, film, television & theatre community including Orson Welles, Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Henry Jaglom and Al Pacino to name but a few.

Now he is on his way to Melbourne to share with local performing artists in his acclaimed three- day Actors Intensive workshop at The Space Dance & Arts Centre in Prahran.

After having recently worked with acting legend Al Pacino on his upcoming film “Salomaybe” (2010) as well as working alongside director Henry Jaglom on his latest film project “Queen of the Lot” (Release November 18th 2010) he is presently working with Academy Award winner David Brenner on his latest project. Robert has found time in his busy schedule to share his acting knowledge and ‘the biz’ with local hopefuls and working pros.

He’s had co-starring or guest-starring roles in over 20 feature films and television shows such as Arrested Development, Just Shoot Me, Home Improvement & 21 Jump Street and major Acting credits at the famed Actors Studio in New York plus Off-Broadway shows over the years.
Robert is also currently a much-respected teacher at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, Los Angeles, a place lauded as the training ground for true “method acting” techniques used by the best in the business.

During his early training as an actor, Robert was privileged to not only have met and studied with Lee Strasberg in his final years, Mr. Strasberg, invited Robert into his home and his life. The two became friends, and Robert was to be his next and what would turn out to be (his last) protégé.

“Robert studied closely with Lee, and his understanding of the work is exceptional. He is a quintessential Strasberg teacher.” – Anna Strasberg

Hoping to share some of Mr. Strasberg’s work and “dispel the negative connotations associated with the method which exist because of misinterpretations or a lack of knowledge” in a real, understandable & inspiring way that will immediately enhance an actor or performer’s work.

‘Robert Hallak's Melbourne workshops were inspirational and educational. The transformation we saw in the 3-day workshop that Robert ran for our full time dance students was nothing short of incredible… His explanation of "method acting" is authentic and practical, providing real tools for performers to strengthen their acting ability. -Ariel Bud, Owner – The Space Dance & Arts Centre
