ScreenWest Director Production Development Announced

Press release from ScreenWest

ScreenWest is happy to announce that Mr Harry Bardwell has recently been re-appointed to the position of ScreenWest Director Production and Development. We look forward to Harry being part of the ScreenWest team for another three years.

The Director Production and Development is a pivotal role in ScreenWest, responsible for implementing the industry support and funding programs, and for working in partnership with other organisations to create opportunities to develop and finance Western Australian projects.

ScreenWest Chief Executive Ian Booth said he is excited that Harry has been reappointed to the position.

"Since Harry began with ScreenWest in 2006, he has used his extensive experience in the industry to support and further Western Australian filmmakers," Ian said.

"He has been a crucial link connecting the local industry with markets at a national and international level.

"Harry was also instrumental in developing opportunities and support programs for filmmakers in WA, including the successful Stepping Stones initiative and Indigenous initiatives."

Harry said he aimed to build on what has been achieved so far.

"I look forward to identifying and developing new opportunities for less experienced filmmakers to become established in Western Australia", he said.

"A focus will be the ongoing review of ScreenWest’s funding programs and the implementation of the new guidelines."
