Seven has announced a new, locally produced comedy sketch series will soon be coming to our screens, starring young Aussie comedian Troy Kinne.

Kinne has been on the Australian comedy scene for over a decade as well as having performed internationally. He has also appeared on The Bounce, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Comedy Gold, Stand Up Australia and has performed in stand-up, radio and TV.

In a statement released to the media, KINNE is described as “a feisty mix of sketches, rapid fire one-liners and man-on-the-street pearls of wisdom rom stand-up comedian, internet favourite and occasional landscape gardener, Troy Kinne.”

Popular characters of the comedian include the Impromptu Lifeguard and the Actual Bachelor as well as scenes such as Dating Deal Breakers, Things Never Said by The Boss, Lies We Just Accept and What We’d Really Like to Say to Your Babies.

Seven’s Director of Production, Brad Lyons, said: “Continuing on from the success of The Bogan  Hunters, we’re delighted to have another strong local comedy coming to 7mate. Troy is fresh,  edgy and funny – and KINNE will make for some great viewing”.

Kinne is joined by his long-time collaborator Max Price as well as an ensemble cast “with nothing better to do.”

KINNE is created and written by Troy Kinne in collaboration with Max Price and Seven Productions. The Executive Producer is Seven’s MaryAnne Carroll.
